I remember learning so much about grammar throughout my whole education career. Your vs. you’re was taught a lot in middle school and also about the differences between there, they’re, and their. I don’t think the differences between there, they’re, and their really stuck with me until I was in high school and I began to realize that people and myself would write the wrong word. I soon learned the difference but it seems not everyone has. Now that I’ve completely learned the differences between the 3 there’s it makes a lot of sense and I wonder why people get them confused.
After today’s class, something that really stuck with me is knowing that literacy is not the same for everyone and that it leaves room for our own personal thoughts. Literacy can be interpreted differently and it’s okay. Sometimes we take on multilteracies as we do in roles in life.
